This October, Sentiers Chelsea Trails (SCT) will be partnering with the National Capital Commission (NCC) on a project to rehabilitate trails and to undertake habitat restoration between the village centre and the Chelsea Creek ravine. The work complements the new bridge connecting the Chelsea Picnic Grounds on Kingsmere Road to Old Chelsea Road and the adjacent cemetery (known as the Old Chelsea Protestant Burial Grounds).

We are looking for volunteers over two consecutive week-ends in October to carry out this work. No experience necessary. Just bring your energy and good will! This work is on NCC lands but outside Gatineau Park, and materials and guidance will be provided by the NCC. SCT will organize the volunteers.

If interested please let us know whether you will be available on either or both of the following week-ends: October 17-18 and October 24-25.  On site orientation by the NCC and SCT will be at 9 am on October 17th, meeting in the Chelsea Picnic Grounds car park (beside L’Orée du Bois restaurant.).

Please pass this on to friends and neighbours who you think might be interested in Chelsea Trails. For more information you can contact me at [email protected].
