For this year, the trail ends at Wallace because of safety and stability concerns resulting from the summer washouts which occurred between Wallace and Loretta.<\/p>\n<p>A groomed trail like this could not survive without strong community support from a volunteer force,\u00a0 our municipal government, the investment and involvement of local businesses through sponsorships\u00a0and individuals who donate to the Chelsea Trails winter grooming fund.<strong> We are proud to say our 6 major\u00a0sponsors are all back for another year. They include Gazifere, Greg Christie\u2019s , Lafleur, Le Nordik,\u00a0Physiosport Chelsea and Pub Chelsea.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A big thank you also goes out to Markhauser Homes for generously offering up their parking lot in front of the CLSC building at 490 Highway 105, which offers easy access to the trail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trail conditions: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lafleur de la Capitale, our trail groomer is hard at work, but early winter conditions apply to the trail until we get a good dump of snow.\u00a0 That means people need to watch out for stones and rough terrain in some sections.\u00a0 At the south end, between Mill Road and Wallace the trail bed is uneven and until there\u2019s more snow, it cannot be groomed with the larger equipment, so exercise caution.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Lafleur has provided a regular section-by-section report on trail conditions to the municipality. To keep up to date on conditions, you can check the municipal site at Chelsea.ca.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Please enjoy the trail and respect our neighbours along the trail.
